VF Series for the Direct Postforming
Technique
Description
Die Postformingtechnik mit ihren überzeugenden The substantial benefits
offered by the postforming technique have quickly established the
popularity of this method in the furniture producing industry.
Postforming protects the surface and edge of the workpiece by the
application of a continuous laminate. It is an ideal processing method
particularly in areas subject to mechanical, thermal or chemical
stresses or in case of exposure to moisture - all of which can take a
heavy toll on furniture. Particular areas of concern here are bathrooms
and kitchens, offices, interior fittings, wall and ceiling panelling,
structural elements - to name only a few. |
Direct postforming:
One work process does the job
A characteristic feature of "classical" postforming is the execution of
multiple work processes on different machines. Homag has taken this
process and further developed it to create the innovative direct
postforming method. The benefit offered by the direct method is that the
panels used are already finish coated. All that is needed is to divide
the panels and process them in the machine to form postforming elements.
Only a single machine covers the entire range of processes. That this
will help save considerable costs goes without saying. |
The benefits of the direct postforming process::
- No need for separate profiling, cleaning, gluing, laminate application
and pressing
- No intermediate transport, no intermediate storage, no danger of
damage
- Simple workflow organization
- Short throughfeed times
- Minimal space requirement
- Lower overall investment |
Five processing stages, five machine sections
The VF postforming machine series can be subdivided into five sections:
- Sizing
- Glue application
- Activation
- Bending
- Finish processing |
